This week the creator of Andbubblegum.com, Danielle Noah,
put out a Facebook help request on whether or not to mail hard copies of baby
shower invitations. Southern born and raised, my answer will always be yes to
mail an invitation; it is hard wired into my blood. I’m not going to, lie
throwing a baby shower can be fun but also stressful— especially if it is new
territory to you. So this week I designed a free baby shower invitation that
you all can download and print yourself!
You can click here to download the Word document for yourself. However to use the same
typefaces I did for them to be exactly the same you’ll need:
If you do not want to purchase these Typefaces you can
easily replace them with other typefaces— I would recommend pairing a
traditional serif typeface such as Calson, Baskerville, or Garamond. You could
even replace them with another chalk typeface for added
interest. Or maybe you just want to hire me to set them up for you or do a
custom design? That is no problem, just email me.
For the simplest design purposes I made only the couple
names, date, time, location, registered, and RSVP sections editable in the word
document.
- Always send out your invites in a timely fashion. Ideally 4-6 weeks before the shower.
- Always address your invites properly:
- Always remember this is not YOUR baby shower. You are there to support the new mother to-be in this joyous occasion. So make it all about her.
- Never be afraid to ask others for help, think: mom, grandmother, aunts, cousin, siblings, & friends.
- Take notes for mother-to-be as she opens gifts so she can write personalized thank you notes.
- 4Have FUN!
