Baby Rajagopal: Boy or Girl

After months of guessing... hoping... praying... Ashley and Vik finally found out the gender of their growing little person.

And...

It's a boy!

The two future parents found out last Monday and then kept it under wraps until our parents could come into town. I was certain it was a girl. Absolutely certain up until 1pm Sunday afternoon.

We were in University Village looking at strollers when Vik said he was going to go next door to Crewcuts, J Crew's kids clothing store, to do some shopping for the little one. I didn't think anything of it at that moment, but a few minutes later as I was picking us up some snacks it hit me:

Vik is clothing shopping for the baby? There is no way he is going over there to look at dresses. It's a boy.

I was certain that it was a girl that in that second I was so sad but then I went into Crewcuts too and bought the little Mr. his first bowtie. 

Striped, obviously.

Ash and Vik officially announced it by surprising us each with a wrapped present. Inside was a note from baby, onesies, hotwheels, swaddling blanket, and stickers in "boy" colors. Although, Vik's sister and brother in law couldn't make it into town, we had them on Skype to share in the moment.

It was perfect.

Now the pressure is on to pick out names and start getting their house ready for at least 18 years of chaos. Big adventures ahead!
